We were in Visalia for 1 day, had very comfortable stay, the hotel was clean with comfy and magnificent location to the Sequoia national park. Location: the venue was just off everything, especially, the freeway and Visalia and restaurants...

Severe homeless issues. Manager apparently lets them stay for free. They are everywhere. Floors are hard and loudly echo any movement or noise from other rooms on all sides and from upstairs. NO DRESSER. Only a little 2 ft table that is grossly inadequate. Night stand is only about 1 foot wide. Beds are uncomfortable and is only a top mattress on a hard platform. Refrigerator shelves were ALL broken off. We stayed for 5 nights and after the first night we wanted to leave but had already been charged for entire stay. When I complained to the night person I was called a liar. Had dinner at Marie Calendars and when we told the waitress where we were staying she told us the manager there allows homeless to stay in the rooms free. This info was not solicited by us. It was completely brought up by the waitress. An employee at the hotel acknowledged the fact that the room next to mine was given to homeless for free. I observed 8 to 10 people enter this room carrying nothing but black plastic trash bags. (I OBSERVED THIS MYSELF). So utterly disappointed. This will be our last stay in any Motel 6. If I would have known I would have paid a little more somewhere else. TV turns itself off every 45 minutes. Homeless beggars will approach you even at your room door. Oh so bad.

The hotel was clean and our room was clean and updated. Fast staff from front desk to housekeepers and the location was magnificent close to restaurants. It was close enough to everything, especially the freeway, King's Canyon, and the Sequoia National Park. The facilities, such as climate control, multi-channel TV, and a microwave, were all that was needed.

The number was up to expectations. It was clean, spacious. There was a big supermarket 15 minutes away. There were all kinds of diner and fast food restaurants next to it. It's a 15-20-minute walk from the transit center on bus number 4A.
The only thing I didn't like was the fact that you can't leave your suitcase at an early eviction. Obviously, America is a country of cars. But it wouldn't hurt to take care of pedestrian tourists, either. Early in the morning, there was a shuttle to the park with a sequoi. Asked me tonight if I could leave my suitcase. A young man at the reception said that it is better to ask someone who will be in the morning, but usually no one leaves a suitcase. In the morning the girl said she would love to leave her suitcase, but it is not clear how the person who will change it will feel. The shift's at 7:00 a.m. I left at 6:00. I ended up having to ask for help at the front desk of the next Hampton Inn. They didn't say no. They stuck a tag with my name on it and took it away. Absolutely free of charge.
